Politiki aporritou

This document outlines who we are, how we handle your personal data, and the measures we take to ensure transparency and data protection in accordance with Finnish law and the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

First, who is Athivor?

Athivor is a platform committed to delivering accessible, clear, and relevant financial information. Our mission is to help you better understand and compare financial products and services—such as credit cards, digital banks, and loans—so you can make informed financial decisions with confidence. We prioritise your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data with the same care we apply to our own.

This Privacy Policy outlines how Athivor and any affiliated entities process your personal data, including when promoting our own services or those of third parties. It is in line with the GDPR, the Finnish Data Protection Act (Tietosuojalaki 1050/2018), and guidance issued by the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman.

Please note that this Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites or services that are outside our control. If you access such websites via our recommendations, we are not responsible for their privacy practices or terms.

What data do we collect?

To answer this question, it is essential to understand some terms that we will use throughout this Policy:

  • Personal Data: Any information related to an identified or identifiable individual, including data collected by Athivor or its affiliates that, alone or combined with other data, can identify you. This may include electronic, digital, or paper-based records.
  • Non-Personal Data: Data that cannot be used to identify you directly, such as site usage statistics, page views, time of access, and anonymous cookies.
  • User (Data Subject): Any natural person who accesses or uses Athivor’s services, regardless of the device or platform. In this Policy, “you” or “user” refers to the data subject under GDPR.

How do we access your data?

We collect personal data depending on your use of our services and the permissions you grant. These include:

  • Data you provide: When registering, filling out forms, or requesting free content (such as guides, e-books, or newsletters), you may submit data such as your name, email, phone number, date of birth, or address.
  • Data from third parties: We may receive data from publicly available sources or partners, such as Google or Meta (Facebook/Instagram), based on your prior consent. This helps us improve user experience and personalise recommendations.
  • Browsing data: We collect data on your interactions with our site, including visited pages, time spent, clicks, approximate geolocation, IP address, browser details, operating system, and device identifiers. While this does not identify you directly, it may qualify as personal data under the GDPR if it can be associated with you.

Why do we use your data?

Athivor uses personal data for the following lawful purposes under Article 6 of the GDPR:

  • To provide personalised financial recommendations based on your profile and browsing behaviour (legitimate interest and/or consent);

  • Research and development: To conduct statistical analysis and technological improvements using aggregated or anonymised data, ensuring individual identities are not revealed (legitimate interest).

Does Athivor share your data?

Athivor does not sell your personal data. However, we may share it under specific, lawful circumstances:

  • With other websites and services within the Athivor group (always visibly branded), to provide consistent services across platforms;
